Marci Mc Gowan

I don't remember quite how I first discovered Marci and her wonderful site, but I think it was when I chose my first Internet project. And from that experience on, I have been visiting Marci's site quite often.

Marci is a first grade teacher in New Jersey who truly has been called to be a teacher. You can read all about her on her on her back to School page. She maintains one of the best sites on the Internet. As you explore it, be sure to look at the many areas that she offers for her students and parents, as well as those for fellow teachers. She has a wealth of resources that fit the needs of many fellow primary grade teachers. She has both hosted great collaborative projects and participated in many hosted by others.

Be sure to explore on your own, but, here are a few of my favorite "haunts" on her site are:

Enjoy Marci's site!

Let's Get Started!

Today is the day to start off the school year by sharing some of the wonderful sites which I visit often. They are the sites of some absolutely wonderful teachers with whom I have collaborated in the past. I have met some of these great teachers in person but have met some only in the cyber world.  These are teachers who love to teach and love to learn.  I will take you to visit Jen and Marci and Susan and Lanise and Erika and many others.  And I will also share with you some of the sites which I always visited to search for ideas and to get re energized, when I need it.  Enjoy visiting their sites and tell them Sandy says "Hi!"

Welcome to my Book Blog! It is my hopes to share my love of reading with all of you. Most of what you will see will be directed toward teachers of elementary aged children. But I will also share some of my favorite books and sites for adults, too. Check back soon for some book related fun.

Let me begin with a few quotes...

Books to the ceiling,
Books to the sky.
My pile of books
Are a mile high.
How I love them!
How I need them!
I'll have a long beard
By the time I read them.

When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes.   ~Erasmus~
